Reed is one of my top choices but it isn’t my ‘top’ choice because I’m finding it very difficult to decide between Reed and Grinnell (Though, all this is based on the assumption that I get into Reed )
Since we’re all waiting for our decisions, I thought it would be nice and it would really help me make up my mind if each of us to talked about what attracted us to Reed and why we would love to go there. I’ve also learnt that parents of current students, or prospective students often present fantastic and insightful viewpoints about colleges so I would love to hear the opinions of all the parents on this thread.
Being an international student, its very difficult to get the ‘feel’ of a school so any and all opinions are welcome.
Hm… I don’t know, last year’s class received their mail correspondence punctually if I remember correctly. I’d still keep my eye out for the first of April or the second(a Saturday). If it doesn’t arrive on either of those days then it’s safe to assume that east coasters will be receiving their mail later than those closer to OR.
It might take around five days for me too, being in Florida.
@doesitmatter123 , if you get good news this week then your biggest “problem” will be choosing between two excellent colleges. Leaving the “fit” aspect aside, you should also look at location(transport, supermarkets nearby, etc…) and even weather, among other things.
In the end, whatever choice you make, you’ll have four very promising years.
(New to the thread here) why does reed have to torture us by only mailing? I’m abroad so does anyone know how I could find out my ultimate life decision? I live in ny and my parents will also be traveling as of April 2nd
So since decisions should be received by April 1, is it right to assume that they will be mailed out on Monday? I live on the East Coast and I know it might take a bit longer to reach me.
Actually, decisions will be sent out on April 1st, so it’ll be a few days before it reaches folks on your coast!
Guess I can relax a bit and stand down on the stalking of the Fed Ex trucks coming within a 15 mile radius of my home.
@OCD123 Back at it again with the tumblr details- thanks pal! <3
So then that confirms it, huh? This week our applications will finish being reviewed, and next week we’ll be receiving our decisions. Depending on our state, it can be any day of the week.
That’s… Actually even more agonizing hahahaha, next week will basically be a game of admissions Russian roulette.
Stay strong folks, we’re still on the same boat, and I see some turbulent waters ahead. Brace yourselveeessss!
It’s great to see some new users showing up While this may seem like a place of anxiety, having a medium to vent out any doubts and thoughts helps so much. Welcome aboard to all of you Feel free to ask any questions!
