<p>I know this is very late in the admissions process, but I am strongly considering applying to UBC (the deadline has been extended to tomorrow). On the application, as many of you may know, there is a section to put down two references. I live in the US, so I am more familiar with recommendation letters, and am confused with the process. Does UBC call or email these references?</p>
<p>They did not call or email my references, I think it depends on the faculty u applied to.</p>
