i normally live in my college dorm but since there is a pandemic going on I am not going to be living on campus this upcoming semester. My college still wants us to come on campus but there is a option to go remote so i’ll be going remote. my question is will i get back a refund check because I am not living on campus or using a meal plan ? I go to Barry University. Yes i know I should email them to find out but it’s been 3 weeks and no answer from the financial aid office lol so i’m just hoping to get an insight on the situation.
To get a refund for room and board that you will not be using in fall semester 2020, you will have needed to have already paid for room and board for the semester. Have you already paid? If you haven’t paid yet, and you won’t be using school provided room and board this coming fall semester, you shouldn’t be billed for it (or if you do get billed for room and board, just don’t pay for those expenses).
Do you have financial aid that covers R&B? If so, you need to ask the school if that will be adjusted because your cost of attendance is now lower.
Many schools have one COA for those living on campus and another for those who don’t.
@twoinanddone @BelknapPoint thank you I understand.
