Hey everyone,

I am an incoming freshman in the college of arts and sciences. I have not chosen to declare a major yet (interested in Biology and Society) but I know that I want to take a "pre-med" track.

I am currently signed up for Bio 1105 which is the auto tutorial biology class as opposed to the Bio 1440 intro course. I do not really have a huge preference for either, but I did like the idea of not having a 9:00 am class to commit to ( I can deal with it if I have to).

My question is: What are the pros and cons of both classes? Or any type of review on either class?

My goals from the intro biology courses are to gain an understanding of biology, be prepared for the MCAT, and not kill my GPA (my goal would be a 3.7 but with my lifestyle we will see....).

Also there is one catch: I have NEVER taken a biology course. It is the only science AP I didn't take including the social sciences.

Any type of suggestion would help me out. I know there are some competitive and passionate pre-med students out there, so I would really appreciate it. Thanks
