Hi, I'm just a Soph. in H.S., but I'm starting to plan for college and Pepperdine is definitely high on my list.
I'm a Catholic male from Cleveland Ohio. I go to a pretty competitive Catholic H.S., and I'm probably top 7%, but at the least top 10%. My UW GPA is about 3.8, and I don't expect it to rise too much. My goal is to get it above 3.9 by SR year, but 3.85 may be more realistic. I take the most rigorous course load offered and will have either 5 or 6 APs under my belt by the time I graduate.
So 3.85ish UW GPA
32-33ish ACT
Eagle Scout
Alter Server in 9th grade, may become Eucharistic minister in the near future
Active in my Schools Catholic Schools for Peace and Justice group
Volunteer a good amount, run the games at my churches picnic
Earned Ad Altare Dei Boy Scout religious award
Academic Challenge at School
Track and Field
Trying to write for the school paper
Model UN

We were a military family,(dad retired, but is still working for the Uncle as a civilian) and moved around a little bit in my younger years, including living in NYC during 9/11. I plan on writing one of my college essays about that and how I'd like to pursue being in the military, or another job where I can help people who need help the most.

Like I said, I live in Ohio, would geographic diversity help me? I don't really think so, I'm kind of assuming a lot of Midwestern kids apply to schools in SoCal and Florida etc... to escape this crappy weather.

Can I expect to get much? Right now I can't afford it at what 50k COA. I guessed with the EFC calculator(I'll have my dad fill it out in a couple days) I'd guess we can pay 10-20K(estimate), so no way can I pay Pepperdine full price.

Ohh, and how is Pepperdine with CC credits? Does it have to be Cali CCs? Because in Ohio, if your a Sr, you can take class at a CC, for free, so I plan to do that, but I don't know how well it will transfer.

Thanks a lot!
