Regents make exams harder to pass | democratandchronicle.com | Democrat and Chronicle

what do you guys think about this change? (ny residents at least)
all i have to say is,
hooray for '10 graduates- we don't have to deal w/ raised expectations.

Meh, maybe that’s good. Some regents were way too easy (bio, global, english) and I think they have become too easy to pass. However, it’s like the other state exams for the lower grades, you can’t just randomly raise the bar; it’ll shock the schools’ curriculum. The state has to ease it in and allow time for change. Most districts (at least around here) are strapped for cash anyway.
…but yes, who cares; because I am DONE with regents! w00p!

yeah, the regents have become something of a joke these days.
i mean, you know something’s wrong when you step inside the testing room banking on a 98 or above :P

it’ll be interesting to see how they’ll make the changes…

About time… its ridiculous when you can get ~50%, and sometimes even less, of the questions right and still be passing

I am terrible at English and Social Studies, and with no preparation scored 99 on English, US 97, Global 96. Something is wrong here
