Among other things: 1) changes to be made to reduce freshman class in next cycle (though they have been saying that for 5 years, this coming year may see an actual reduction); 2) changes to the use of the wait-list to effect that change; 3) capital campaign…a total of 127,516 donors have supported the campaign with gifts and pledges of almost $950 million, and with outright gifts totaling $436 million, including $88.9 million for student support; 4) the financials go to the board today and presumably will be accepted and therefore published next month with both endowment figure and class profile; 5) last year was a good year for voluntary support while this year is off pace so far (<a href="http://regents.umich.edu/meetings/10-14/2014-10-III-1.pdf">http://regents.umich.edu/meetings/10-14/2014-10-III-1.pdf</a> );

Elsewhere: the Business school receives $5MM from Jeff Blau an associate of Steve Ross for naming rights to a building on the revamped business campus. Jeff Blau is also a UM graduate who previously named the new auditorium.

Nationally endowment figures are coming in at up 15% to up 20%. UM was at around $8.3Bln, and the rolling published figures suggest finishing around $9.6Bln for the fiscal year or up around 15%...the low end of the range.
