<p>I’ve been looking at online courses in order to obtain my BA, and have seen quite a few different regional accreditations. For example, one of the schools says their accreditation is from: “The Higher Learning Commission and a member of the North Central Association”… and the other is from: “Senior College Commission of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC)”</p>
<p>A few questions:</p>
<li> How do I verify the legitimacy of these accreditations (and others).</li>
<li> Are the regions exclusive ? For example, if I wanted to enter a Masters program in CA, would they not accept “North Central” accreditation ?</li>
