The Office of Undergraduate Admissions put a registration block on me but my admissions officer is on vacation or something...won't be back for another week. So what could be the cause of this block? My transcript was received but is still under review...is this normal? Also, my AP scores are still not in!! Could this be the reason for my block? or is it because they found something they didn't like about my transcript and decided to rescind me??

I'm leaving for Berkeley next Saturday so I don't have much time left. Argh!

no, but this is a registration block...a lot of people aren't having blocks, only saying unregistered, which is also happening to me. and this is with undergraduate office, not with the billing and stuff

Oh sorry. If you already signed up for classes, you will be ok. You did get the 3.0 gpa, right? If you did, just wait till your officer comes back. Im sure you already tried, but try talking to another officer. Hope it works out. I think the only thing they can do is prevent you from getting your class pass, i know its a big deal, but its better than dropping all the classes you signed up for.

I think this happens to everyone their freshman year. It happened to me and lots of people I know last year. Like most Bear Facts issues, it will fix itself.

I just called, and yes, they said I might get rescinded. What happened was my high school only sent my senior year grades, and not all the previous grades. Apparently my admissions officer emailed me but I never got the email, saying I have 10 days to send everything in or I might get rescinded. Well, now it's summertime for my high school and I don't think anybody's in. So, I'm screwed.

Dang, that sucks. Try to go to your school and tell them to send them ASAP. If not, try to contact teachers or if you know any admin ppl through email and see if they can help. Good luck with that. I hope you get to stay.

Turns out my guidance counselor is still in. I'm gonna be able to get a copy of my transcript and I'm going to mail it in overnight. I hope they get it in time.

same thing happened to a friend of mine at UCLA last year. Ask your Guidance Counselor to call the Cal Admissions office for you about the mistake your high school made. And make sure that Cal will accept the trancript coming from you and not only from your high school. I remember some colleges that wanted transcripts from the schools direct during the application process. Good luck! It will work out.
