So I applied regular decision and have received at least a confirmation email or applicant portal most schools. I haven't heard anything from Colby... has anyone else? Should I just be waiting for the letter in the mail in March?

Hello, wtcgshep - you should have received a confirmation email from our office after your application materials were submitted. If you did not receive this email, please contact Penny Spear at paspear@colby.edu. The log-in credentials included in the email will allow you access to the myColby portal page, where you can check the status of your application and see your decision after all regular round decisions are posted. I hope this helps. Please be in touch with our office if you have any additional questions or concerns. All our best, the Colby Admissions staff.

ColbyAdmissions, I was accepted ED1 and I was wondering if theere is a facebook group for the class of 2016? I know there is a page, but I noticed that there is usually a group for the classes in the past.

Catlover200 - congrats on your acceptance! The Colby College Class of 2016 page can be found here: [Colby College Class of 2016 - College - Waterville, ME | Facebook](Colby College Class of 2016).

Yes, I was also wondering if there is a Facebook group. I am aware of the Class of 2016 page, as ColbyAdmissions provided the link for, but is there a group?

Hi countrysurfer18 - sorry for the confusion. There is not an official Facebook class group, just the Colby College Class of 2016 page. Best - Colby Admissions

ColbyAdmissions, sorry to be annoying but is there going to be one? I have noticed Colby has had them in the past for classes.

Hi, catlover - in previous years we have indeed created a Facebook group for admitted students; however, we have found it most beneficial to use a class page, instead. The class page allows more students - both prospective and current - to engage and interact with each other on an open platform and encourages the building of community both within, and across, all classes at Colby.

Hi ColbyAdmissions - I also submitted my application on January 1st and did not receive a confirmation. Should I be concerned, and are decisions mailed out or posted on the myColby portal page?

Thank you Colby admissions for providing much sanity to cc. I really wish other schools would take your lead and answer question posed openly and honestly.
This forum has been a great source of support and information. However, at times, there has also been much misinformation and confusion which can be a source of unnecessary added stress.
This is yet another example why Colby is among the top choices for my son this Fall, every interaction we have had with Colby has been a class act.

CASenior - feel free to contact our office directly to retrieve your myColby credentials (we can be reached at 207-859-4800). Decisions will be posted online AND sent by mail in the coming weeks, but you’ll likely want to have access to myColby to stay updated on the most relevant and timely information from our office.

lillypod - thank you for your kind words. We’re pleased to hear our previous answers have been helpful and look forward to answering any future questions your family - and others - have about Colby and the admissions process.

Will the results be online the day they are mailed?

The portal said that decisions will be available next Friday I think…

Hi,

In the Fall I accessed my Colby portal and set up a new username and password but now I cannot seem to remember what I used. Is there any way I can access this information?

Thanks!!!

I think it said they would mail decisions this Friday (23rd) and post Monday at 5:00 pm. Is anyone else as nervous as I am? D:

I was never sent emails from Colby, and I can’t seem to get a reply from my emails either :(

I also never received confirmation from Colby, only from commonapp after submitting my application. Should I still email?

I just got my mail today, got into colby! They mailed things out yesterday.

After getting waitlisted at Wesleyan and Northwestern, and rejected from Colgate I have a bad gut feeling that Colby will waitlist me, too…

Does anyone know how packages were sent to internationals? I mean, did colby send snail mails to all of international applicants? If so, using with what postal agency(dhl, fedex, etc) were they sent?
Thanks a lot.
