Did you also receive any email from Gettysburg about your decision or just regular mail ?

No email just regular mail

Finally, orange envelope in SW PA.

I just received my admissions decisions via email: waitlist here as well.

Accepted! 1950 SAT, 3.67 uw GPA, valedictorian. And a 10k/year scholarship! I also got a nice little handwritten note from my interviewer. I might attend because I do like the school, but I’m waiting to hear from William & Mary and Bryn Mawr. If either of those 2 admits me I’ll be attending there, but I love Gettysburg too, so if neither of those do, I’ll be off to Gburg!

My stats were SAT: 2140, 97.4/100 GPA W, around 5 leadership ecs, many hours volunteering for museum, and a banging common app essay that showed passion for history, which Gburg values and also my intended major at time of app.

Got my acceptance today! 1910 SAT, 3.35 uw GPA. 7k/year scholarship. However, I may have a loophole to not have to pay any tuition money. My great, great grandfather, bought a voucher at the begging of the 1900’s that would allow any descendants to go to Gettysburg for no tuition. We’ll have to talk with the school now that I’ve been accepted. I am unlikely to attend if this voucher doesn’t work. Does anyone else know anything about this?

@tangerinespeedo The voucher is a very odd, but interesting, situation. Hope it works out for you!

@tangerinespeedo So interesting. Please let us know if the voucher is honored!

DS accepted with an 1832 Founders Scholarship. 29 ACT, 1970 SAT, 3.68 GPA. Several AP’s, state awards in Forensics, Thespian, very active in theater, 200+ hours of community service. Unfortunately, even with the scholarship, the tuition is still too much for us.

I was waitlisted, I’m a international student.

accepted – 2130 sats, 3.7ish gpa. also accepted at bowdoin, bates, colby, and trinity, rejected at middlebury, and waiting for claremont mckenna, hamilton, georgetown, and skidmore.

Well, W&M and BMC both rejected me so it looks like I’m probably heading to Gburg. Mixed emotions right now. I loved those schools more than anything but Gburg is fantastic too so I think I’ll still have a great 4 years (at least I really really hope)

I accepted their waitlist offer, but they haven’t sent me any confirmation email. Should I send them another email?

Accepted. 29 ACT. 3.89 W GPA. DECA State officer, over 15 ec’s. $10k scholarship. With the finaid I’m looking at paying $40k a year and that’s way too much for me…anyone know of other opportunities with the school to lower that cost?

To everyone who was waitlisted: what steps are you taking to (hopefully) increase your chances of being admitted? I plan on sending an updated letter of interest & resume.

lblawhopeful Have you done your fafsa? Both my daughter and son received generous grants from Gettysburg. Combining the scholarships and grants made their costs equal to attendance at a state college.
