Hello, my son applied RD on 1/1 and hasn’t received his log in information yet. Could admissions still be closed? Thank you.
It took a few days to receive the notice - and that was when it was submitted a couple weeks early - I expect they have a backlog of data to enter first.
My son is auditioning at Syracuse next week for Musical Theater Regular Decision. When will acceptance notifications go out? Does anyone have any idea?
Last year, acceptances for regular decision were sent out on 3/15.

Waiting to hear, my son applied to CS
Did anyone receive an email saying they had not paid their application fee when they had? My D just got an email this morning but of course, they are closed so we cannot reach out to resolve. Very odd.
It was a mistake they sent out another email addressing the email
Yes, we did too. Replied to the email they provided with a copy of our receipt from common app.
Sorry, meant to reply to a different comment.
We did too. Emailed a copy of our common app payment receipt, and then received the email this afternoon that it went out in error to some students.
Yep, my D received it as well. Glad they resolved the issue before I spent a lot of time on it for nothing.
I went onto MySlice and saw that under “My Missing Application Materials” it said that all my required application items have been received and that my application is complete and ready for review. Does that mean they got my application fee payment?
I would think that means they got your app fee, it is one of the requirements. I pulled the receipt from common app after getting the error email sent earlier today, just in case.
Hi, this is my first post, my S applied on Dec 2019 for RD 2024, we have been getting emails from the financial aid office for more verifications, very specific stuff, like our real estate tax bills, the current value of our asset and W2s? I don’t mind doing the paperwork, but he is not even being admitted yet? Does this mean his chance of getting in is high?
The financial aid info they are looking for is standard. They’ll outreach for anything they feel is missing to get a full financial picture of your situation. The AID office and Admissions offices in schools operate separately, so it’s not typically an indication of anything. Just process.
Did anyone get denied in the original ED I got deferred and was wondering if I genuinely have a chance or if I’m just being stringed along? Also if anyone has any recommendations on what I could do to help my chances of getting in I would greatly appreciate it.
Syracuse seems to be very intrusive about the amount of financial information they require of applicants. What they are asking you is standard for them, but by far the most of any college/university we have dealt with this early in the process.
I totally agree. I’m reluctant to do all this additional disclosure when I am almost certain I’m getting squat from financial aid (EFC is right around what the cost of education is and 529 plan is very well funded).
Hey everyone! How am I going to receive my decision for RD? will it come in the mail or be posted online? I have read that decisions don’t come through MySlice, so i don’t know where else we would access them. Thanks.
