complete EARLY ACTION.

WashU doesn’t offer Early Action. They only offer Early Decision. Most top scools only offer ED.

An admissions officer from Wash U once told me that she knew of only one instance where a student had to back out of early decision because Wash U couldn’t offer him or her the amount of financial aid that he or she needed. The officer said that if you are accepted early decision that it means that they do want you and that they will work with you. Don’t let the cost keep you from going to your dream school.

It was Fed Ex

@ Onecot. Sorry. Didn’t see earlier post. I am not mistaken - and don’t give advice if you are not sure of your facts. I have the letter in my hand (sent FedEx). My son applied RD and was notified of non-binding admission in October. They said it was a “select” early admission and he has until May 1 to respond. He has since been selected as a Danforth finalist. So apply early even if RD. You can’t loose and you may get noticed before the avalanche of apps comes in.

The acceptance rate for ED is around 30% while it’s around 13-14 percent for RD making the overall acceptance rate 15.4 %. The ED acceptance rate is usually double the overall acceptance at most schools making WashU consistent with that trend.
