Rejected from Siena??

I applied to the Siena College/Albany Medical College Program and got my rejection letter sometime in January. With the rejection letter came an option to apply to reg undergrad. Since i didn't have to write another essay or anything, i applied. So today comes a letter saying i was waitlisted at the undergrad. I was shocked cause i though undergrad was easy to get into.
My grades:
Gpa: 92 UW
12 APs, 7 H
Sats: 1500/2200
Sat II: Bio 730, IIC 760, US history 730
Typically EC's: Volunteer, sports, music, etc

"What are the average GPA and SAT/ACTs? Students who gain admissions to Siena have a strong B/B+ average or higher in solid high school courses and have between 1100-1300 on the critical reading and math SAT or 24-27 on the ACT."

I got that off the website... I did not apply to Siena College... it kept sending me annoying emails and "extensions" for submitting my App. I thought it was a pretty unknown, not hard to get into school... you might wanna call the admissions office to see what's up..

that's really weird, call them up

Are you sure the waitlist isn't for the med program? You sure seem overqualified for regular admission.

well i thought it might be, but i was rejected from the program and never got an interview

That is strange. Would you go if you did get into the undergrad? Did you get into any other med programs? Otherwise, would you go in as a science major and apply for regular med school? I wish you the best of luck. You certainly appear to have worked hard as a high school student. I am sure you'll achieve your goal of being a doctor if you continue on your path.

My son is currently a student at Siena. There is no question that your stats would be in the top 10 to 20% for Siena applicants and you should have been accepted with academic scholarship. I agree with others that you should contact admissions. It sounds like an error.

That's just messed up. Don't even care about continuing your application there...
