<p>I got rejected from Williams.</p>
<p>never lose yr hope bro !!</p>
<p>my sat scores are going to be out in around an hour. I have never taken the official test before. I am scared when I think of how important this result is. I could not write my essay as I had hoped for. </p>
<p>The scariest moments are when my academic ambitions, reasons to apply to USA, and my future prospects all mix together in my mind. I am to make decisions that will completely determine the future course of my adult life. </p>
<p>I think, no matter what, I should always work intensely, honestly, really and in an integrated fashion.</p>
<p>I don’t know from how many colleges I am going to be rejected.</p>
<p>@mannyalltheway</p>
<p>So… how was you SAT result?
Are you a high school senior or junior?</p>
<p>Since, this is a thread for rejected students … I must post---- Rejected yesterday late night by NYU… </p>
<p>Getting decision from ‘University of South–Sewanee’ tonight.</p>
<p>Trinity University Texas==>> Waitlisted</p>
<p>@JacobsWannaBe Good Luck for Sewanee Decision.Last time i heard any Nepali got into Sewaane was a guy from BNKS for class of 2012. He was valedictorian and gave commencement speech during his graduation at Sewanee & now he is doing engineering in Columbia University in Physics(3-2 programme with Sewanee)</p>
<p>I realize that getting ISG from Sewanee is very long shot… In fact, I sort of messed up my ISG essay … SO, not exactly hoping for any miracle from Sewanee either… </p>
<p>your info about Nepalese at Usewanee is false… I know a guy who is studying at Sewanee… he is the class of 2015 or 2016… I can’t remember that properly…</p>
<p>@JacobsWannaBe Aa So someone got into Sewanee for 2015 / 2016 too. U did ED ii to NYU??</p>
<p>yeah!! ED II</p>
<p>Deffered frm Gettysburg. Funny feeling but I am kind of happy that they did not reject or accept me.</p>
<p>Deferrals are nothing but slow rejections, and I hate that :(</p>
<p>I was outrightly rejected in ED I. Happy that they did not do the same. Positive indication of improved application.</p>
<p>LAST year Gettysburg enrolled around 17 international students who represented a country each expect vietnam which had 2 student representatives. My only hope was that it would be Nepal this time as a student from Nepal has already been admitted in ED I.</p>
<p>Rejected from Elmira on financial grounds. They say they cannot make up the difference between COF and amount that I had stated in ISFAA. </p>
<p>Boy o boy, it took them around 120 days to give a rejection letter.</p>
<p>Other rejections that I have come to know:</p>
<p>Furman, Clark</p>
<p>rejected from Kenyon, St. Olaf, Macalester and Denison.</p>
<p>Rejected from Tulane,UChicago and Franklin & Marshal.
Deferred from Gettysburg</p>
<p>rejected from smith ( ed) , wellesley, Uchicago
waitlisted by st olaf, bryn mawr
more rejections yet to come…</p>
<p>Rejected from Bucknell. Brace yourselves, more decisions are coming!</p>
<p>4 decisions this
week
rejected by f&m,
waitlisted by st.olaf and gettysburg,
accepted by fairfield</p>
<p>waiting to get rejection from middlebury and union tomorrow</p>
<p>Just seven decisions to go and no acceptance from any competitive college so far.</p>
<p>Colby College - Rejected (was waitlisted when I applied during my last high school year)
St. Olaf- Deferred and then Rejected
Colby Sawyer- Accepted (need to pay around 15k US$ per year for room, board, miscellaneous)
Quinnipiac University - Accepted (need to pay around 35k US$ per year and the silly thing is I did not research well about it before applying; how am I s’pposed to pay around 35k )
Yale_NUS - Rejected (I’m assured that I’ll be rejected from Yale as well.)
Bucknell University- Rejected </p>
<p>My flaws: poor SAT scores and tendency to aim for highly competitive colleges.</p>
<p>Okay now…this might not be very relevant to this thread but hope you’ll enjoy reading this:-</p>

<p>Dear College or University,
Having now reviewed the many rejection letters received in the last few weeks, it is with great regret that, despite your college’s outstanding qualifications and previous experience in rejecting applicants, I must inform you that I am unable to accept your rejection at this time.
This year I have been particularly fortunate in receiving an unusually large number of rejection letters. Unfortunately, the number of rejection letters that I can accept is very limited. It is for this reason that I was forced to reject the rejection letters of many qualified institutions. Please understand that this is in no way a judgment of you as a college or as an institution, since my decision has more to do with the rejection pool than anything else— with such a varied and promising field of candidates, it is impossible for me to accept all refusals.
This was not an easy task. Each rejection was reviewed carefully and on an individual basis. Many factors were taken into account, such as size of the institution, student-faculty ratio, location, reputation, cost and social atmosphere. Elimination under this system does not mean your university is not suitable for rejection, but merely reflects the high caliber of colleges and universities competing for my acceptance of their rejection letters.
I am aware of the disappointment that this decision may bring, for these were not easy judgments. Throughout my deliberations, I have kept in mind the importance to you of this decision. I wish it were possible to cite specific reasons for each of the determinations I have made but, frankly, it is not.
It was even necessary for me to reject some letters that were clearly qualified as rejections. This is surely my loss. Since all of my decisions are made at one time and all available rejection spaces have been committed, all decisions are final. Therefore, I am sorry to say I will be attending your university this Fall. I look forward to seeing you then.
I appreciate your disinterest in me, and, although it may seem inappropriate to you at this time, let me take the opportunity to wish you the best of luck in rejecting future applicants.
Sincerely,
Me</p>
<p>hahaaha… no offence to colleges who rejected me.</p>
