Rejecting offer of admission

<p>I have been accepted to American University.
Unfortunately I will not be able to attend the school next year.
Do I have to send a letter to the school to reject offer of admission?</p>

<p>No not really. You could if you like to be polite, and have the courtesy to let them know. It your choice, there is no obligation. </p>

<p>If you do decide to send them a letter, it would be nice if you could give them reasons and also, if so, tell them which universities you’re thinking about and hope to attend.</p>
