Rejection is tough...perhaps you guys could proof read the message. Pathetic...

APPLICATION STATUS:
I regret to inform you that we are unable to offer you admission to Stony Brook University at thhis (sic) time. I understand that this news must be disappointing to you and want to assure you that your application received very careful evaluation by our Admissions Committee. You should know that the University received a record number of applications this year for a limited number of seats, making it necessary to disappoint many applicants.

As I'm sure you know, every university has it's own unique standards and criteria. Our committee works very hard to select those applicants whose specific academic objectives and personal development will be best served by Stony Brook University

After you have completed at least one year of studies at another regionally accredicated (sic) college or university with a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher, we would be pleased to have you reapply to Stony Brook. If you choose to do so, an evaluation of your application at that time will be based primarily on your academic performance in college.

I greatly appreciate your interest in Stony Brook University and thank you for the effort you put into your application. Please accept our best wishes for success in your college career and in all your future endeavors.

are u a freshman or transfer? are u gonna reapply sbu again?

I am sure everything will work out for you, stay strong.

I don’t think OP was that pissed that they got rejected. I think they’re just pissed that the college rejected him/her bit couldn’t even spell things right, which is kinda funny.

And the “it’s” in the second paragraph should have gotten a “sic” also.

My son got some recruiting emails from a couple of schools that were apparently written by illiterates.

Thanks IxnayBob…more pathetic…

“As I’m sure you know, every university has it’s (sic) own unique standards and criteria. Our committee works very hard to select those applicants whose specific academic objectives and personal development will be best served by Stony Brook University”

So that’s a rejection letter looked liked… I always wondered…

But don’t get disappointed. You can reapply again in the future if interested
