I received my rejection from UCSD the day that all decisions were to supposed to be posted. Four days later, along with receiving the official 'decisions posted' email, I received an email from someone in Undergrad Admissions that said that my application status to UCSD has been changed. I logged in to see that the rejection was overturned and I had been placed on the wait list. Has this happened to anyone? I have a feeling it's very rare and if that's the case, I would like to place a focus on it when I write my wait list statement.

Thanks in advance.

I don’t know if it is rare or not. However, you are given very little space to write your wait list statement - I don’t remember what the word limit is but it is very short. I would not waste space on the fact that your admissions status was reversed as you have no way of knowing the reasoning behind it. Instead you should focus on why you should be admitted to the school, using good, solid reasons.

Hey! This happened to me … But where is there a place to write the waitlist statement ? Mine just says you have been opted onto the waitlist … @seresteiras
