<p>Nope, my friends were L and P, and some of my friends who haven't heard yet were in the top half of the alphabet.</p>
<p>I got in today, under an English major; none of my friends applied under that major, and many were accepeted weeks ago under other majors, so that might one way how letters are released.</p>
<p>Maybe it is by major. </p>
<p>Oh well, it's not like we can predict when it's going to happen anyways. I just hope that I don't have to wait until April like some kids have.</p>

<p>econ, still waiting, haven't heard many econ people get in. so far only lyke 2 people, still have a bit of hope left. There's so much tension right now, i really want to hear back from UCI soon.</p>

<p>I'm pretty sure UCI has so far only accepted people with really high stats. I live in Irvine so I'm constantly asking around town who's been getting in. So far, all my friends who have over 4.0 weighted GPAs or really close to 4.0 and 700 SAT scores have gotten in.</p>

biological sciences (premed)
undeclared
theater art</p>
<p>i'm still waiting for earth/environmental sciences and math.</p>
<p>i've also heard about some really lucky people who have gotten in with 3.6 weighted gpas too. everyone stay hopeful! i know too many people who have randomly been accepted into uci with stats all over the place, so don't worry if you didn't get into any of the other ucs.</p>
<p>also, engineering is another major that people have been accepted for.</p>

<p>I don't think it is by major or by when you submitted it. I submitted mine at like 2 AM on November 30. Lol. I'm last minute on everything. I got my acceptance on March 9th for literary journalism. My friend got accepted on March 3rd for English, but another friend of mine, applying for the same major, with comparable stats, has not received her acceptance yet. Just wait it out, I know it's frustrating. Good luck! : )</p>
