Religion at Furman

My daughter is a sophomore at Furman and loves it. We are from Ohio. She is liberal and currently agnostic (raised Catholic). She has not had any problems with her beliefs or students treating her differently. She says it is not an issue at all. It is wonderful to see her so happy.

my son is a sophomore at Furman, we are all lapsed Episcopalians(slowly went from XMAS and Easter services, to just Easter then to nothing over the years…); he has no religious feelings at all, and he is very happy at Furman, it has been a wonderful experience.

Kierans,

I am currently a student at Furman and am not in the least bit religious (may be considered atheist). You’re daughter will be just fine coming here. There is no religious pressure at all. Many of my friends are very religious and know that I am not, and all of them respect my feelings just as I respect there’s. Hope your daughter chooses Furman!
