Religion, or lack thereof, in an essay

<p>I'm not putting anything controversial any of my actual essays. In one of the short answer prompts, though, I might just let on that I don't believe in God. This isn't to prove a point, it's just part of my answer to a different question.
Do you think the admission of my atheism would offend an adcom?
This is for a liberal university in the Northeast.</p>

<p>If it’s stated in a somewhat offensive way, then maybe. Otherwise, probably not. However, it’s best to avoid the situation completely, but it’s probably no big deal.</p>

<p>I don’t think that would offend an adcom at a liberal school whatsoever. And it really shouldn’t offend anyone, anywhere. You didn’t denigrate any specific religion, right? You simply let on to your being atheist, which is perfectly fine.</p>
