I didn’t get any gifts when I graduated, but I didn’t care. I was just happy I was done with high school. I did have a bonfire and burned all of my SAT/ACT books, though lol.

Uhh… I got a diploma. My school hands out diplomas like candy, I don’t see it as much of an accomplishment either (for this day and age).

The gift I cherish most is a garnet cross necklace my parents got for me. They also got me a new phone. I got money from relatives and friends.

A college survival kit would be a great gift! 3M hooks, bandaids, and a planner are things I can think of off the top of my head.

excuse me JIBY YOHANNAN?

Back to answering the original post, how about a power strip? Most old dorm rooms don’t have nearly enough outlets for all our tech stuff… Or a doorstop? Use a shower caddy as a gift basket to hold everything.

My mom got me pillows, sheets, clothes, shampoo, soap, deodorant, and most importantly of all, Clorox. Clorox is the magical solution to disgusting dorm kitchens and bathrooms.

Graduating high school was always something that I’d been expected to do.

As a result, my parents continued to be proud of me. They showed their appreciation by attending my high school graduation. It represents the real world quite accurately: if you do your job well, you get to come back the next day and reap the benefits, but if you don’t do it well, you lose your job and life becomes hard.

As for the benefits of parents continuing to be proud of me? Well, I have had and continue to have their full support in my journey through college. If things get difficult, they will back me to a level that far exceeds that of most of my friends.

lol this thread

I only got gifted with money.
Nothing unique or special, but I’m not complaining of course.
