guys wanted to know how good is RPI for undergrad engineering compared to other top universities like CMU and Cornell? Got their candidates choice application through e-mail, so just wanted know.

Oh yeah, I wanted some info on this. RPI’s good, pp32.
I think it sends e-mails to all those who get >2100. But I may be wrong.
I just want some more info on this application.

^Yeah, I got one yesterday, lol.
It said something along the lines of “You have caught our eye”. rofl. ;)

^ Me too got one, but it seems that they do not offer any aid for intls whatsoever…

There’s no advantage whatsoever to this Students’s choice form. You are sent an e-mail automatically if ur sat score is above a certain mark (I’ve seen it being sent to a 2090 guy). You are neway considered in the regular applicant pool. (Market strategy… as some other threads on CC label it)

Yes RPI’s expensive. 55-60K (New York!!) and they do not offer aid to internationals…

On a related note, Do you guys know which universities on the commonapp require you to submit a financial proof bfore submitting ur application. It was by chance that I saw this thread and went 2 c the RPI website and found abt the Fin. proof form that we need 2 send. This wasn’t mentioned on the commonapp page of RPI. So now I’ve 2 send this bank proof form

http://www.rpi.edu/dept/admissions/forms/International_Financial_Statement.pdf

b4 the deadline…

Ne other insti. which requires this???

^Most schools which do not offer aid to internationals require bank statements as part of your application.

@rsaxena: like ??

I got this application too.
P.S. You still have to pay the fee,so no benefit whatsoever.
