I'm thinking of applying to a few boarding schools as a repeat junior. The schools I want to apply to are: St. George's, St. Marks, and Pomfret. I don't have a problem with repeating a year, but I wanted to see if anyone had any thoughts on repeating junior year. I have a 4.0 UW GPA, just took the PSAT (didn't get my scores yet), and I play squash and tennis. Any comments are helpful, thanks!

Well if you are a junior now which is what I am assumimg it is most probable that your grades will suffer when you arrive in the fall. Those schools are rigorous and I wouldn’t reccomend coming in as a junior (or senior). If your current school would be on par with what you have listed then I wouldn’t find a problem with it. If you would like to attend a bs then I suggest finishing high school and applying for post graduate year (basically 13th grade). Most schools offer it and you are still considered a normal student of the school.
