So because my school only had 3 people sign up for Chinese 3, the school dumped Chinese 3 into Chinese 4. Now my report card says I got an A for Chinese 4. Will ivy league colleges and places like Duke see this and wonder what the heck is going on? Like, "How did this guy get grades in Chinese 1,2 and 4 but not 3? Where did Chinese 3 go? Did he drop it? Did someone delete the grade?" I'm going to ask my counselor to help me change it, but before I do so, I want to see what you guys think. I don't want to miss out on an opportunity to advace my chinese class level without taking Chinese 3. (1 step closer to getting into AP Chinese)

If they don’t understand the jump they’ll contact your guidance counselor. Take a deep breath. Exhale.

Oh ok thanks

It was out of your control, if they do ask, just explain to them with your counselor contact. Not like you deliberately left Chinese 3 for Chinese 4.

yeah I hardly believe it’ll be a problem. I doubt they’ll see your transcript and be like H4x! This kid dropped Chinese 3 for an even harder one!.. Worst case scenario, counselor can clear it up.

If they ask, your counselor can clear it up. It’ll make you look more intelligent if they don’t question it. I for one was able to test out of Computer Applications I and skip to II by taking the final exam. That’s not a logical progression either, but no colleges have made anything of it so far.
