Is it best to report our AP grades to Stanford before we submit an application? I mean, does it even make a difference? My counselor told me that it's always a good thing to report AP grades to your school of itnerest but I need some more input regarding this. Also, to double check, the AB subscore is counted as a separate score period (i.e. towards AP Awards)? Is there any situation when the AB subscore isn't really counted?

P.S. Does anyone know how much weight the following awards play in the Stanford admissions process?

bump and I have another question:
Will Stanford be one of the universities to take into account the new SATI writing essay when considering a candidate for admission?

Yeah, they're using the new SAT I writing score. They used to recommend the SAT II writing test so they'll probably treat it a bit like that. They probably haven't decided themselves what their new approach will be.

It's a good idea to send the AP scores to your top school when you take the tests (you get a free school report), but sending them to all your schools seems a waste of money. Stanford asks for the AP scores on the application and they probably just assume you're being honest. Also, the scores might be on your transcript--check that.

The AB subscore is not considered a seperate score. However, some schools will give credit for a good AB subscore even if the BC score is not great. The Westinghouse award is pretty good, it's pretty well-known and national awards are best.
