Where can you find stats on how many people from a certain state are represented in a college class? I’m in Texas, and wondering if a lot of kids down here apply to the ivies.

howdy, im in austin

you probably won't have a huge advantage applying to the ivies from down here because theyre so popular, but if you wanna go for a smaller liberal arts school you would definetly be good. of course, it does matter where in texas you're from. are you from somewhere like dallas or a town like odessa? that will matter for sure

I hope being from a small state helps.

I think it just balances out, because I don't have access to any really prestigious private schools.

Dude being from Texas isn't going to help much if any. Tons of kids apply to the Ivies and other top schools from Texas

i live in plano

i think it also depends on your school. if your school is known to send a lot of kids to ivies, then you have tougher competition.

im in alaska...

yea, it can change from year to year. I don't think it's a huge factor or anything like that though. Unless you live in the Yukon territory or antartica
