I would like to know what classes are required at swarthmore?

You've got to pass the swimming test. I don't think there are specific classes you must take, but there are distribution requirements, as there are at many liberal arts colleges. Unless they've changed them recently you need to have at least 3 classes in each of the 3 divisions: humanities, social sciences, math & physical sciences. There is also a writing requirement, a foreign language requirement and a physical education requirement. More details can be found here:

But to answer your specific question, I don't believe there are any required classes.

As dadx3 said, there are no required classes, but there are distribution requirements (some can be met with AP credit).

You are also required to take one class with a lab component (there is a long list of such classes), and three writing-intensive classes (which happens pretty much automatically anyway, since a lot of classes are considered writing-intensive).

You need to have 20 credits outside of your major.

You also have to have one year worth of PE credits, which can be acquired in many different ways.

Writing-intensive classes:

Lab requirement:

Some of these requirements can be fulfilled with APs.
