Rescindment for not taking a class?

This might be a silly question, but,

on my application I said I would be taking Finite Math at my community college. Now I've been accepted to Caltech but I don't want to take that class anymore, since I wouldn't be getting any credit, and it probably wouldn't help me with Caltech's classes anyway.

I'm afraid not taking it would be considered "slacking off," or even worse, not being honest on my application. What should I do? Should I email Caltech's admission office?

Thanks all.

As long as you tell them that you’re not going to take it now, that won’t be considered dishonesty. And since it’s very unlikely that you were admitted based on the discrete math course that you planned on taking in the future, I doubt it will be a problem.

Thanks; should I email them?

Yeah, I’d e-mail them. I agree with the above that it likely won’t matter.
