i had done a reseach in another college three years ago and now i am applying for graduate school. Thus i want to include my reseach as a part of my application. But the problem is i don't have the evidence that can prove me i had done that reseach except i got paid by $2000. So i want to ask if i need to provide evidence of my reseach to my graduate school. If yes, what should i give him?

You don’t need to provide evidence, you just need to describe the research project in which you participated.

It would be typical to have one of your letters of recommendation be from the professor in charge of the lab in which you did your research.

Dear OP,

molliebatmit is correct.

To add on: if you cannot obtain a letter from there because its been so long, you might want to brush up on what you did there (basic methodology, the purpose, some results, and lessons learned). Its quite typical for interviewers to ask about research experiences, and if this is the only research you have done, then you can be certain they will ask about it (especially if you’re applying to PhD).

Best wishes,

I fear I may hijack the thread of the OP but my question is pretty much close to his.

Is it possible for anyone to do research by himself? I mean without any advisor. I have seen some people who were doing research all by themselves(I am EE graduate so I am talking specifically about that field. Some of my friends were doing research in smart grids all by themselves.

but usually the graduate school won’t interview their applicant and only consider the material i provide to me. Therefore is it basically i don’t even need to explain my project to them?

Jenzep,

Sure, it’s possible - but if you don’t have an advisor, who is doing the quality control on your research? Who is making sure it conforms to academic standards? The entire Ph.D training process is about proving your ability to conduct independent research.

i did have a professor that had been supervising me but i am keeping touch with him anymore after i transfer to my current college
