Where did u guys seem to find all those research opportunities. I've been searching an extremely long time but couldn't seem to dig them out. Thnx.

http://web.mit.edu/urop gives an overview of the Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program.
http://web.mit.edu/uinfo/research/locate/ also has some information.

I hope that's the kind of info you're looking for.

Generally, though, a lot of people find research jobs by looking through the professor bios on their department's webpage, then emailing a few professors whose research sounds interesting. Professors love UROPs because they are cheaper than grad students but just as hard-working ;)

I meant for high school students, but thanks anyway.

Oops, so sorry.

Oh yeah, besides RSI. They firmly rejected my ass, saying, "there were many more qualified applicants we could accept."

sorry to hear that asiaknight. most of the times, it's all luck really.

many people end up just working with a prof at a local college, maybe just b/c they had an idea and they had the facilities, or b/c of a program designed as such. shrug i never researched anything nifty.
