how does one get involved with research at UVA? i know that you can always take a psychology research class, but how do you get involved as an undergraduate (rising second-year) at the med school?

I would like the answer to this too. can anyone help?

Here you go:

Research for Students at the University of Virginia [here and here

Some professors invite promising students to join their research teams that are funding by external grants. That’s how my son got involved: a professor who kept his eye out for candidates. In the case of that group, it’s an actual job, not a course or a grant of his own.

It’s good to know who those professors are who are interested in UGs and consider making contact, or discuss with your adviser.

Also, here are examples of some past Harrison Research Award winners in 2011, 2010 & 2009.
