<p>Hey everybody! I'm a freshman at the University of Rochester. I'm currently planning on majoring in CS, but I've been thinking about potentially double majoring in Optics or Electrical Engineering (our Optics program here is phenomenal!). My ultimate goal after college is to go to Grad School and eventually get a career in Research, either in Academia or Industry. The Optics program/major seems to be very promising as far as research career/internship opportunities go. I just want to know if the number of research career opportunities is fairly high in the Computer Science and Electrical Engineering fields as well (CS is my favorite subject by far!). </p>
<p>Any info would be greatly appreciated! I'd love to hear about other people's experiences in research as well!</p>
