Can anyone here point out whether there are enough opportunities for undergrads? I have heard that the PHD and Grad students naturally get priority since the grad population at USC as large as the undergrad.

There are TONS of research opportunities. (Ha! I just saw this after I sent you that PM, and that is what I was mentioning.) Students who want to do research should start knocking on doors and asking to join projects right away. You could be knee-deep in research by the end of September. There is also research funding students can start applying for near the end of Freshman year through SOAR [SOAR > USC College of Letters, Arts & Sciences](http://college.usc.edu/soar) , PURF http://www.usc.edu/programs/ugprograms/ugresearch/fellowships.shtml and other sources.

***Don’t wait to be asked to join a project! Walk in and ask to join. Or propose your own project, write it up and request funding. It really works.
