Research paper submission deadline

I am applying RD . When is the deadline to submit Research paper as a supplementary material ??
I heard it was around FEB1 for RD?
BTW I am international ....Can i FAX them???

Do you HAVE to submit the entire paper? Can you just submit an abstract?

There’s no hard deadline for the submission of supplemental material, but it should be in around the end of January to ensure that it will be seen by application readers.

You can fax supplemental material.

In terms of submitting an entire research paper, MIT has stated in the past that it is often more useful to them if you can send an abstract and/or discuss your research experience in one of your essays. It’s not generally possible for them to have a full research paper properly evaluated.

I’m toying with the idea of making a small Google site, per MIT’s suggestion, to minimize the amount of material that gets submitted in hardcopy. Would it be okay to send MIT the link in mid-Jaruary, like over email or by fax? Will that be in time for the application readers to review it, and in that case, should I mention in the application that I’ll be sending in something in mid-January?

Yes, mid-January would be fine. As with EA, the first few weeks after the application deadline are spent compiling applications and matching pieces with folders.

One more clarification about submitting a link to a Google site. I don’t want to give MIT the link in the online app, where it asks about inventions, etc., because I’m afraid that they will go to see it when it isn’t yet completed. Would it be better instead to say something like, “Link will be emailed to admissions office by January 10th.” Or maybe like, “
will be active starting January 10th.” Or will it be better to simply include the link without a note?

Right now, I have four separate links: 3 show different analyses of data from a remote weather station that I developed for our Rocketry club, and one is to a Youtube video of last year’s Mission Possible. As it looks messy that way, I was hoping to organize everything on the site, and include pictures and more in depth descriptions of both the station and Mission Possible.

Thanks!
