I don't know if this is apt to put this thread on MIT forum, but I am going to ask about International RSI Scholars. I know that A LOT of domestic RSI participants are offered admission to MIT. However, recently I read a thread on CC and it was saying a lot of International Scholars were denied admission, unlike domestic participants. Is that true? If so, what is the reason? Both the domestic and the international participant should be extremely qualified to make it to the RSI... Is it because that they performed poorly as they weren't proficient enough in English?

I don’t know if that’s true or not. But according to what I know, two international RSI scholars last year in my hometown got into great schools. One of them, an Asian boy, got into MIT with a SAT1 lower than 2200. Another girl got into Stanford.
