Research/Thesis/Internship in United States

Hi everyone,
I am an agroindustrial engineering student in Mexico. Here it is required to have a 8-month research or 4 months of internship in order to graduate. I really want to participate in research in a US university but I do not know how to start searching for opportunities. If someone can direct me or tell me how can I proceed, I would really appreciate it.

If your own professors do not have any professional contacts here, then you need to read the research journals in your specific field. When you find a paper that is about something that is very interesting to you, send an email to the lead author. That person’s email address and university affiliation will be listed somewhere in the article.
