Resume vs. Explanation?

Im not sure which to include under additional information, an attached resume (my ecs dont fit on the activity sheet!!!) or a paragraph typed explaining my poor sophomore year grades (2 deaths in my family and the separation of my parents), how I have changed, and what I learned from the experience (ie why it wont happen again). I'm not sure which one would be more beneficial, or, can I include both?

I feel like the poor sophomore year grades wold better be explained, not by you, but by a recommendation from a guidance counselor. Between the two options you gave, I would lean towards attatching a resume - not merely to list out all your activities (your resume really shouldn’t be more than a page long) but also to give more details.

Good luck!
