I got a 720 in bio m as a freshman in june and it was in the 70% percentile. I don't plan on majoring in biology or anything close to science but I just wanna know if I should retake it or not. I thought I would get above a 750. Also, if I do take it again, I don't if I should take m or e because my honors bio class covered mainly molecular but when I glanced at the e section, it was easier. I'm not really sure though because I'm not really that great at interpreting graphs. I'm ready to review everything again and I'll study even harder for it If I decide to take it in October.

Bump. Anybody

It depends what kind of colleges you’re looking at. For ivy league schools, you might want to consider retaking it (if you can’t do better on 3 other tests). For most other schools, a 720 is absolutely excellent. I also find E much easier, and for me, the slightly harsher curve wasn’t enough to push me away from taking E. I took E and got a 720 as well as a freshman, and I feel that if I took M, it would’ve been in the mid 600s. Go with what you’re better at.

If you’re not planning on majoring in Biology, I would try to excel in the other subject tests that are closer to your planned major. Those will be a lot more important to the adcoms.

If I plan on retaking biology(this time ecology), should I use barron’s sat bio because to study for the last test I used the barron’s ap biology book?

Truthfully, it’s not worth the money. AP covers SATII. If you do buy it, it should only be for the practice tests
