i received a 3 on my writing but i don't think it reflects my writing ability. can i retake waft during orientation?

Is a 3 passing?

no it's not. 6 is a pass

Well, if you get another chance at the WAFT, then everyone who wants one should (Honor Code), so it's hard to answer, but probably not.

I don't want to sound overly critical of a person I do not know per se, but if you're saying that the 3 does not reflect your ability, then why do you have it?
Was it because you didn't consider the WAFT very important?

In my experience the Humanities department will not allow you to retake the WAFT if you receive a failing score, but that is not to say it is not possible. Ask the department chair.

I am one of those who do have to retake for missing the WAFT...Does anyone know if they're going to have us do an impromptu during orientation for the makeup? (which would suck)

Thanks.

Last year, the makeup was easy- they gave you the question, and you had to turn in an essay by a certain time (you had a few days to do it).
