<p>The incoming student bundle for the Mac from University IT Computer Sales looks like a decent deal. Does anyone have any experience, good or bad, purchasing a computer from them?</p>
<p>FYI-- you can get the same price UR’s IT dept is offering at any Apple store and at the Apple online store. </p>
<p>All you need to do is show a student ID when purchasing at a Apple store.</p>
<p>If purchasing online, you’ll need a email account that ends in .edu. (Enter the EDUCATION STORE on the left hand side Apple Store page.)</p>
<p>Apple allows students one discounted computer purchase every 12 months.</p>
<p>The only you won’t get is the UR laptop sleeve…but you will have the option of buying your cables elsewhere (less than thru IT) and buying a less expensive Macbook instead of the MacBook Pro.</p>
<p>The student package from Apple this year is a credit at the Mac App store. Check out the Apple Store online for details. It used to be an ipod but those aren’t the thing anymore.</p>
