Revoking Admission

I have been accepted in UCF for the Summer 2011 term. If I get a D in precalculus all year, do you think they'll revoke my admission? If it makes a difference, that's my only grade that's so low.

A D in my school is considered passing. I don’t think they’ll revoke you if it’s your only class.

A d is considered passing in my school too, I just thought it would look bad. But thanks…

I would be really careful though and do everything possible to pull up that grade. A friend of mine got accepted for summer term at FSU last year and failed her creative writing school in high school. She went to FSU for the summer but once they got her final transcript and got time to review it, they revoked her admission for the fall and she had to go back home.

Edit: She went home at the end of summer term, not in the middle of it. Just thought I should clarify.

If it is a D on your midterm then not a problem. A final grade of a D in a subject that is weighted toward your UCF GPA calculation will probably not be acceptable. It will definitely generate a letter. I would call admissions and pose the “what if” scenario without giving your name.
