<p>Hi! I am currently an undergrad student at Texas A&M University. I just transferred there last semester. My GPA as of now is 3.8/4.0, but I am pretty certain that it will be 3.9+ by the end of next semester or at least by the time I graduate (in May 2015). I received an English Associate of Arts with Honors at a junior college and my GPA was a 3.9. I am planning on retaking the GRE because I feel like my scores are not competitive enough... I'm trying to get in the English program and my verbal score was a 158/170... Anyways, I am just wondering how my chances are. I know that the English PhD program accepts 7-9 people a year so I'm aware just how selective it is, but I am a very hard working student and I think that is reflected in my grades. Let me know your thoughts! Don't be afraid to be honest... Constructive criticism welcome! This is my dream college so I will do anything I can to strengthen my chances :) thanks! </p>
