i got accepted ID...btw ive decided to go to rice; dart is just too far and expensive and i think i like the idea of living in a city. itll be a nice change, since i live in a semi-rural area...both are great academically and both have an awesome social scene/community so i dont think ill be missing much from dartmouth by going to rice....so all those going to rice ill be seeing ya there in august since i wont be able to make it owl weekend.....im soooo excited... go owls!!

But I agree that visiting accepted students weekend at both is a must do.

I just have a quick question about that; looking over my documentation the Dimensions of Dartmouth program is scheduled for the 19th to 22nd of April, while the Rice program is scheduled from the 20th to the 22nd of April. Am I missing something?

As well, to generalize this topic, would any of you have advice if the 'accepted student weekends' at different schools happen to overlap? Thanks in advance :).

If you do have to end up choosing to attend one or the other, I would go to the one that you've visited less and know less about.

Rice anyday... Dartmouth, u freeze to death in the land of the unknown

I also have the decision of Rice (admitted ID) versus Dartmouth (RD). I can't visit both because Dimensions and Owl Weekend overlaps (I've already signed up for Owl Weekend).

One of the reasons I'm hesistant to choose Rice is that although it is, overall, cheaper than Dartmouth, Rice gave me only half of what Dartmouth gave me in scholarship/grants. Would it really help to appeal the finan aid?

darthmouth is freaking cold...

I haven't even considered about applying to Darthmouth after I saw its location in world map. It's rigth behind Canada and one of the coldest region in USA next to Alaska!!!!

dude i was raised in south america. im sticking to the closest thing to perpetual warmth i can get to.
