Rice vs Penn

I've been accepted to both, and I am now having a hard time deciding where i would want to spend my next four years as a premed. Having lived in Texas all my life, i definitely know a lot more about Rice and understand its emphasis towards undergraduate education. I also know that Rice is right next to the largest medical center on the planet. However, i was thinking that if i go to penn and experience an entirely different culture, i would probably experience more personal growth.

So taking premed preparation/atmosphere and personal growth into consideration, which school do you guys think is better?

I have a kid at each school- neither pre-med, though. Other than the pre-med issue (which either would be good), I would pick Rice. I think it offers a better undergrad experience. With pre-med you are going to have a lot of competitiveness at either school. I do agree that you might want to experience something outside of Texas. However, my kid at Rice found Houston to be wonderful with many cultural opportunities. She loves Houston.

Rice is solid in a lot of areas and focuses a lot on its Undergraduate population! I would pick Rice over Penn
