Richmond Early Action

My daughter applied EA to Richmond-in addition to several other colleges- a few days ago and it is the only one she has not heard from.
All other schools have acknowledged her application and have given her login info to track her application materials.
Is this the norm for Richmond?
Should we follow up?

I would give it some more time. UR usually does also send portal information to applicants, but no idea on the time frame, especially since EA is new this year.

My daughter received her notification last night that her application was received. They will be sending ut instructions within a week on how to check the status of the application.

S received an initial email confirming receipt of his app about 2 days after he submitted, but that email had no portal info. 3 or 4 days later he received an email with portal info. I read on their admissions blog a few days ago that they only have 4 full time employees to process all the apps they receive (I took that to mean taking all the docs they receive and associate them with the right application and manage the online part of the process, not to make admit / deny decisions). That might explain why they seem to take longer than other schools.

S received the email with portal link to check app status. Everything shows received except 1st semester grades (makes sense) and Richmond Essay. I remember that for UR the writing supplement was a separate submission (and thought S had submitted that). But b/c of the portal info, I went back and checked. CA says “pending” for that. We went ahead and finished the submission. Thank goodness we caught that b/c I wouldn’t have realized if I hadn’t been nudged to check!
