Right idea?

I'm under the impression that Tufts offers the immense opportunity of a major research university in the smaller, more centralized environment of a liberal arts college.. is this true??

I have definitely heard this, and it's something I love about Tufts. But I can't find any recognition of this "in-between" status on their site and I'm hesitant to put something in my "why Tufts" statement that might be a little off.

Confirmation, anyone? : D

Yes, you heard right. Tufts is one of the smallest research universities in the country. This means that at the undergraduate level, you get the size and feel of a liberal arts college (8:1 faculty:student ratio -- lower/equal to the best LACs in the nation) as well as the attention undergrads get at LACs. The added bonus though is that Tufts is still a research university with graduate programs you can benefit from.
