Hello everyone
I passed out from high school in 2005(may) with 84% overall(CBSE) and I want to go to Canada for BBA but I can be admitted to Arts only as I am a biology student and had maths only till 10th(got 95% in 10th) so I'm hoping to transfer to BBA in the 2nd year after clearing the math exam in the BA course. As if catching up with 1 year of BBA study was not hard enough,I'm sensing trouble from other places as well.
I had chalked out an entire plan of going to a university in Nova Scotia in the winter session as they always have new admits then, and transfer to Queen's /McMaster in the 2nd year but I just found out that I can't be admitted to any university in Nova Scotia as according to the state rules,I am still a minor(major age differs in each state in Canada) and must have a local guardian there which I don't,and the CEC,which is the official Canadian Education Centre in India, and was working on my application, had no clue
about this rule??!some help they've been:(
I'm all done with toefl and the financial arrangements but this is such a setback for me.
I recently spoke with the student advisors of the states where I am applicable as a major but they all claimed to have no seats left for the jan session, and now I'm running out on time, and options.
Would you advise me to drop a year and go as per my plan for the fall session 2006?Do I have more options?(I'm not interested in going to US) If so,will the universities demand a good reason for the 1-year gap?

Thanks so much
