Is this a rigorous schedule for my junior year? (Keep in mind I'm trying to still maintain my sanity because I'm also in tons of extracurriculars)

AP Physics B
Gym
APUSH
AP Macroeconomics/Art
AP English Lang
Journalism/Leadership Honors
AP Calc BC
Spanish 4

(I am taking AP Macro and Art instead of lunch. Art is to fulfill the visual arts requirement. Journalism is to fulfill the practical arts requirement. Leadership Honors is required for peer leaders. There are no honors foreign language classes.)

Totally depends on your school. For example, my school doesn’t offer any of those AP classes so no one would be taking them.
Is it the most rigorous schedule you could be taking?

Yup I think it’s a really good schedule! Challenging, but not killing.
“I am taking AP Macro and Art instead of lunch.” What do you mean by that?

Yes.My school starts offering AP’s next year. Most people will be taking 0-3 AP’s probably. I’m taking all 4 core class AP’s, which most people aren’t. I also want to take AP Macroeconomics because I want to go to Wharton, so I am hoping a good grade in that will help a little.

And I mean instead of having a lunch period, I am going to take 2 more classes so that senior year I don’t have to worry about those requirements. I’ll just eat in class because some teachers allow it if you don’t have a lunch.

I’m hoping a class I am taking this year will fulfill a practical arts requirement (no one knows if it does and I haven’t had the chance to talk to my counselor), so then I will be able to have lunch for a semester. I’m fine with not having lunch for one semester, because we already have a free study/talk to friends/go to club meetings period every day for 1st period.

It’s not ‘required’ in my school, but you only don’t have it if you are trying to take another class, mainly APs. Last year someone took all APs for every single period (He had about 7) and had no lunch. He went to Harvard. Same with someone this year who got into Harvard and Oxford.
