i thought kingspoint had a low percentage of girls. Where do they get their dates?

Girlfriends from home, friends from home, girlfriends from NY, friends of friends girlfriends, craigslist...

Pictures looked great. I notice the boards on the shoulders were different for everyone. Please explain the 1,2 3, and even 4 lines I saw. Is this a rank within the 2009 class. Some students had pins, or wings on the front pocket, others didn't. Just wondering? Is there a site anywhere that might explain these items?

The shoulder boards are ranks... 1 bar Midn ENS, 2 bars, Midn LTjg, 3 bars LT, 4 bars Midn LCDR and 5 bars is the RC (Midn CDR).

On the front, most of the pins are the MMNR designator, which means merchant marine naval reserve. If, where that was, they had silver wings, they are in the AFROTC program. If they had something else they were in either the Army or Coastie program.
If they had an EGA (USMC Eagle, Globe and Anchor) above the pin they were part of the Marine Corps program.
If under the pin they had something silver in a wreath they were either graduates of the Army Jump School, Air Assault school or both.

You could probably look it up on Wikipedia somewhere

Thank you for the info. Question? Is the ranks for seniors only or does every class have ranks? Are those ranks based on your grades, class ranking, what?

Plebes have no stripes, 3/c get one diagonal stripe, 2/c get two diagonal stripes.

1/C have the stripes as outlined below. The more stripes the higher you MIDN officer position. They don't boss the other 1/c around just because they have more stripes...they'd probably be crucified if they did that. It just represents their position and that they do do some sorta thing for the regiment (company commander, honor board officer, operations officer, etc.)
these positions are chosen by the adult officers based on interest/interviews/performance/etc. (grades are a factor only by...you need a minimum gpa in some cases because of the additional work load of being a midn officer).
other classes do not have ranks.
